Etagere

An Etagere is a piece of light furniture specifically designed to display ornaments and was often corner-shaped. They were particularly popular during the second half of the eighteenth century and the best examples from the Louis XVI period are made in exotic woods are particularly elegant and graceful.

The etagere in modern usage, is a long-legged shelf unit that is fitted over a bathroom toilet and is also known as a space saver.
