From a pair of hand-carved marble lions to fountains and bird baths to attract our feathered friends, Regent Antiques have supplied many gardeners and outdoor enthusiasts with those special “finds” that make a garden special. Garden furniture and objects of interest that can be placed in a garden setting are always in demand but supply can sometimes be sporadic so please call before travelling and sign up for our regular alerts as to new items coming into stock in the categories you are interested in.

We are always looking out for new and interesting items of garden furniture, statuary, water features and other interesting things to help to achieve a beautiful and tranquil outdoor space for you and your friends and family. Even the most surprising and unusual things can look great in a garden so check these pages regularly and, if you see what you have been waiting for, don’t delay for these are often “one-offs” that don’t come around very often or sometimes never show their faces again.

Even the most beautiful of gardens could usually be improved by some carefully and tastefully placed items of garden furniture.

A well placed statue will provide a focal point and, if accompanied by a garden bench or chair, often proves to be a popular place to sit and watch the wildlife.

Due to its rust free properties, bronze is always a popular choice for outdoor items, usually statues, but also lighting and fountains. Although bronze does not rust, if it is situated outdoors it does corrode in a very attractive way over the years and acquires a surface and hue that makes it even more attractive as time goes by.

We usually have a wide range of bronze statues available that are suitable for garden use, ranging from the very popular bronze animal statues though to something as quirky and attractive as a life size statue of the nobel prize winning physicist Albert Einstein sitting on a bench thinking about something relatively interesting.

Outdoor Lighting

A good array of outdoor lighting is a sensible addition to almost any garden since it lengthens the day and increases the amount of time that you can use your garden.

Very popular at the moment are large, life size, and even larger bronze statues which have been converted for use as lamps or which were designed from the outset for such a purpose. These imposing bronzes would take pride of place in any garden and always be a popular topic for conversation when the sun goes down and the lights come on. Please also look in our bronze category as some of these items of outdoor lighting are not listed in this category.

Naturally, the supply and demand for outdoor furniture waxes and wanes with the seasons and our supplies also vary throughout the year. When considering larger items, please do take special note of the dimensions which are clearly stated for each listing. Make sure that it is going to fit into the space you have in mind and that is it going to be possible to get access for it into your garden space.

Our antiques and furniture showroom is open to the public every weekday between the hours of 10am until 5pm and we also open on some Saturdays. The showroom is very easy to get to by public transport and we also have some car parking for visitors on site.

This is a spectacular vintage larger than life-size bronze statue of the German-born theoretical physicist, Albert Einstein, sitting in a relaxed and informal way on a wodden outdoor bench and dating from the late 20th century. This remarkable statue is made from solid bronze. It features the famous mathematician seated on a teak bench in a forward head posture, with his facial expressions caught in deep and profound thinking. He is dressed formally and is posing his right arm on the back of the bench while his legs are comfortably crossed one on the other. This high-quality hot cast solid bronze statue was produced by using the traditional "lost wax" process, otherwise known as the "cire perdue" method. Vintage Monumental Baroque Italian Bronze Pond Fountain 20th C

This is a monumental bespoke two-tier bronze water fountain beautifully sculpted in the Italian baroque style. This superb bronze water fountain sprays its water out of the top through a standing cherub into the top tier. The water then falls through four Pegasus winged horses into the second tier and finally out through six lion’s head water cartouches. It is raised by a column of four classically dressed maidens each of which is holding a musical instrument as well as offerings of flowers and fruit. As can be seen from the photographs this bronze water fountain is also magnificently decorated with wine grapes and shells. Cast from solid bronze this bronze water fountain is 263 cm (8 feet, 7 inches) high and can be used as a stand-alone item or in the centre of a garden pond. This is a gorgeous large pair of bronze giraffes, dating from the last quarter of the 20th century.   These life-like bronze statues feature two delightful giraffes, one with her head down in search for grass and one standing tall with head upright. Both statues are very realistic - they feature the typical short mane runs down the length of their long necks, and their coat is covered with a blocky pattern. This is a historically interesting bronze sculpture of a pair of lions after the original Medici Lions placed at the Villa Medici, Rome. This pair dating from the second half of the 20th Century. The lions are sitting on their haunches with one front paw on a sphere, and they are facing right and left with their tails on opposite sides.
