This mirror is richly carved with phoenix cresting to the top sides and bottom flanked by foliate acanthus rococo foliage scrolls and fitted with a rectangular mirror plate.

Our second featured item is this superb pair of antique Italian Florentine giltwood mirrors, circa 1870 in date.
The shaped mirror plates are set within a Rococo boldly-carved S scroll and mask frame, and they retain the original gilding.
Florentine style refers to the art and architecture coming out of Florence, Italy during the Renaissance period. Florentine furniture is characterized by the heavy use of gold gilding on wood and very elaborate hand carved decoration.

Next, we would like to present to you this beautiful antique French giltwood Trumeau mirror with a painting, late 19th century in date.
The mirror features a beautiful three panel carved giltwood frame. The upper rectangular panel features a striking oil painting depicting a Goddess sitting on a cloud with a playful cherub and doves. Below this is a central mirror with smaller mirrors on each side.
An elegant pair of gadrooned scalloped pilasters flank the mirror and the painting.

Our last item for display is this wonderful antique French Limoges panelled ormolu hand-mirror, signed by the artist Joseph Meissonnier, circa 1890.
The circular frame has a pierced scrolling foliated border enclosing a convex centre enameled classical scene with figures, with a bevelled edge mirror on the underside.
It bears the signature of an artist Joseph Meissonnier, born in the late 19th century.
