BBC Celebrity Antiques Road Trip Makes A Stop At Regent Antiques
Regent Antiques recently welcomed the team from the BBC’s Celebrity Antiques Roadshow to our north London showroom which is, as you would expect, the ideal place for the celebrities to find interesting and unusual pieces to buy and, hopefully sell on, for a profit.
For those of you who are not familiar with the show, the objective is for two well-known celebrity competitors to visit various antiques outlets and buy items which they believe can be sold at an auction and show a profit. This frequently involves some hard bargaining and there is an expert on hand to advise the celebrity as to what is likely to sell – and what isn’t.
The show will be broadcast at an as-yet unannounced date and, if previous series are anything to go on, will be one of 20 or so episodes.
Our easily accessible north London location combined with the quality and quantity of fine antiques on display makes Regent Antiques the ideal venue for television producers looking for a place to film and for props to be used in their productions. Regent Antiques recently supplied items for use on the set of Downton Abbey where the look and feel of the period were important considerations.
So, keep an eye open for the new series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip and see more of Helen’s visit and the purchases she may have made, (it is, of course, hush hush at the moment) here and at her other stops.
You don’t have to wait until then though – our showroom is open to everyone with an interest in fine quality antique furniture and collectables so call in and see us or check out the website. Expert advice isn’t just for celebrities – call us on+44 20 8809 9605 to talk about any of our items, Tino and his team are always happy to help.
