Recently Sold Pair of Gilded Bronze Candelabra
This pair of candelabra are quite large and will certainly be a conversation starter when placed on a dining table or elsewhere in a room. Standing some 2ft 9in high, (85cm), they cannot help but be imposing, especially when candles are in place and lit.
The candelabras are made in the Empire style and, as such, have a timeless classical elegance about them. Some parts of the candelabras have been gilded. The bases are fashioned from Verde Antico Italian marble.

Large Pair of Silver Plated Candelabra in the Style of Elkington
The pair of candelabras that we have just sold were big but these are even bigger, standing some 3ft 1in high, (93cm). This pair are fashioned in the manner of Elkington with each candelabra holding ten candles, six on the lower level, three on the next and one on top. This would make a very impressive centrepiece when lit.
Elkington & Co. was a notable silver manufacturer hailing from Birmingham in the UK, from 1861 until 1963 and this pair of candelabra are in a style that is frequently associated with that maker. The pair are on offer for just £3300.
