Another remarkable example is a fabulous antique late Victorian burr walnut games and writing table, circa 1890 in date.
It is made of beautiful burr walnut that has elegant satinwood line inlaid banding. The sliding top opens and can be removed to reveal a fabulous marquetry inlaid gaming interior for playing backgammon. The top can then be reversed and replaced to reveal a chess and draughts board.
