Recently Sold Antique Silverware
Antique Silverware is always popular here at Regent Antiques and our buyers are always on the lookout for new pieces to purchase and offer to our customers worldwide, where there is a growing appreciation and demand for it, especially for pieces by major silversmiths such as Hester Bateman and Paul Storr.
Over the last few days we have been able to supply several lovely pieces of Antique Silver to proud new owners and we thought you might like to take a look at a few examples of “recently sold silverware”.
Speaking of Hester Bateman, we recently found a new home for this Antique Hester Bateman Silver Wine Funnel which dates from 1784:
Antique English Silver Wine Funnel by Hester Bateman
This is a delightful sterling silver wine funnel bearing the hallmarks for London 1784 as well as the makers mark of celebrated London silversmith, Hester Bateman. The wine funnel measures 14cm in height (5 inches) and weighs 2.5 Troy oz.
Next we are taking a look at another piece of Antique Silverware, this time from retailers Barron Clark & Sons of Boston. We have recently sold this Antique Art Deco Silver Cigarette Card Box Casket dating from 1933:

Measuring just 3.5cm in height x 15cm in width x 9cm deep, this silver box in the Art Deco style is hallmarked London 1933 and is both lovely to look at with its typical Art Deco decorated lid and functional too – being useful for storing much more than just cigarette cards. The new owner has a nice example of the Art Deco style, in excellent condition and we hope that they enjoy it for many years to come.

A Pair of Sheffield Silver Plate Wine Coolers
This pair of Sheffield style silver plated wine or champagne coolers have been made in the classic Georgian style and feature beautiful reeded decoration with each cooler having a separate inner liner. The wine coolers were in excellent condition and measure as follows:
Height 26 x Width 28 x Depth 24. The weight of these coolers is 3.75 kg.
