Regent Antiques – Recently Sold Art-Deco Style Items
Here is an update of the Art-Deco furniture and other items we have recently sold and which have gone to be enjoyed by their new owners.
Art Deco Birdseye Maple Open Bookcase
We recently sold a particularly fine and unusual Art Deco Birdseye Maple Open Bookcase made from birdseye maple. This was a stunning and delightfully unusual birdseye maple circular open bookcase in the Art Deco style with a design that is both chic and minimalist – the epitome of the Deco ethos. This highly functional piece of furniture could be used to display various cherished pieces in addition to books.
The grain of the wood is truly breath-taking and the quality and attention to detail on display throughout this large and sturdy piece are second to none. The dimensions of the bookcase are: Height 156 cm Width 123 cm Depth 30 cm.
Another good-looking Art Deco piece to be sold was this
Antique Art Deco Blonde Oak Miramar Cocktail Bar dating from around 1930.
This fantastic antique Art Deco ‘The Miramar’ cocktail cabinet with still carries the maker’s plaque for Rivington, London, EC2,. Rivington were well known and designed and manufactured a large range of beautiful items during the first half of the 20th century. This particular cocktail cabinet is made of beautiful blonde oak and has a bow front outline.
The upper section has ribbed doors which enclose a beautiful mirrored interior, complete with a glass shelf. The inside of each door has a galleried shelf for mixers and small bottles and glasses.
There is an internal light which comes on when the door is opened. This feature has been rewired and now works perfectly.
To assist with the service of drinks, there is a pull out mirrored slide fitted. Twin doors at the bottom open to reveal a storage cupboard for bottles etc. and the whole unit stands on an ebonised plinth.
The cabinet was supplied with working locks and keys.

Chic Art Deco Minimalist Birdseye Maple Console Table
As you can see from the photograph, this is also a very striking design which cannot fail to attract attention wherever it may be placed in a home, or even an office or workplace space.
An eye-catching Birdseye maple console table with ebonised detail, very much in the Art Deco manner and in wonderful condition.
Its new owners are sure to be proud of this fine piece.

Art Deco Bronze Sexy Female Dominatrix Bruno Zach
This is a very striking Art Deco style dominatrix lady bronze mounted on a marble base, after Bruno Zach, the famous German Art Deco sculptor. The statue depicts a dominatrix carrying a cane, which she clutches with both hands, while looking inquisitively to her side.
In fact this is a recast of the original piece by Bruno Zach who was known for his wild depictions of women.
It is a high quality hot cast solid bronze was produced using the traditional “lost wax” process, otherwise known as the “cire perdue” method.
