We start off with this stunning and highly functional antique late Victorian kidney shaped kneehole desk by the renowned Victorian cabinet maker and retailer Edwards & Roberts.
This delightful desk is made of striking mahogany and dates from circa 1880. It is free standing and features an abundance of gorgeous floral marquetry decoration with satinwood line inlay and banding. The top is inset with a beautiful gold tooled dark green leather writing surface which not only looks good but is also a joy to write on.
The handles, brass castors, and locks are all original and add elegance to this beautiful desk.
This desk features an arrangement of nine solid oak lined drawers for convenient storage, has a beautifully inlaid modesty panel on the rear and is raised on short square tapering legs.
The desk is fitted with top quality brass Chubbs patent locks and bears the ivorine trade label for Edwards & Roberts.
This magnificent desk is sure to become the centrepiece of your furniture collection and will receive the maximum amount of attention wherever it is placed.
Please note that we also have a nice selection of comfortable and stylish antique desk chairs as well as bespoke leather armchairs that would complement this desk perfectly.

Our second featured item is this fabulous early Victorian antique partners desk, dating from circa 1860.
Crafted from beautiful pollard oak, this lovely antique desk features a striking olive green inset leather writing surface that has beautiful hand tooled gilt decoration.
It is a partners desk and as such has six drawers, three on each side. They are oak lined, have hand cut dovetails and are perfectly sized for all the stationary you could possibly need, making this desk not just a symbol of refinement but a practical furnishing as well.
This superb desk is raised on four turned tapering legs that terminate in the original brass cap castors. It is finished on all sides so that it can stand freely in the middle of a room, making it extremely suitable for a large home.
To finish off in style, we have a fantastic antique Victorian mahogany Chinese Chippendale Revival kneehole writing table by Edwards and Roberts, dating from circa 1880.
This wonderful desk has superb fret carved decoration typical of Chinese Chippendale furniture and a single central frieze drawer flanked by a bank of three drawers on each side. There is also a useful pair of brush slides, one protruding out of each end. The desk top is fitted with an emerald green gold tooled inset leather writing surface.
It is raised on four elegant cluster bamboo supports that terminate in spade feet.
The desk bears the Edwards & Roberts impressed stamp on the central frieze drawer and is complete with working locks and keys.
