Just Arrived – 2 Nice Examples of Antique Art Deco Furniture
Antique Art Deco furniture is always in demand and our buyers are always looking for prime examples to offer to our customers. Well, they’ve been busy again and we are proud to be able to offer our clients two examples of Antique Art Deco Furniture, this time both examples are made from that most decorative of woods, walnut.
Our first item is an Antique French Art Deco Walnut Dressing Table dating from around 1925:

Just one look at the photograph above, (there are more available if you care to follow this link), will tell you that this is an excellent and very typical example of the distinctive Art Deco style that came to prominence in the 1920s and 1930s.
Made to a very high standard in the finest of burr walnut, which is featured to excellent effect on the table top, as seen in this picture:
The table is mounted on a striking and very sturdy, U-shaped plinth. There are two frieze drawers and the back is fitted with a demi-lune glass mirror. The price of ownership is just £1275.

The dimensions of this lovely dressing table are 107cm high x 102cm wide x 50cm deep which is equivalent to; Height 3 feet, 6 inches x Width 3 feet, 4 inches x Depth 1 foot, 8 inches.

As can be seen from the photograph above, this table is mounted on twin slab bases and there is an extra leaf which can be used to extend the table when required or stored away if not needed.
The grain of the burr walnut is of particular note and we strongly urge you to take a detailed look at it and the overall high standard of construction.
