This is a beautiful Regency style dining table complete with the matching set of eighteen chairs, dating from the last quarter of the 20th century.
The table is made of flame mahogany with superb satinwood crossbanded decoration.. It will seat eighteen people in comfort, and twenty if required.
There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome table which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with guests at meal times.
The table has two leaves which can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion and it stands on a pair of "gun barrel" triple leg bases, one at each end, and a "gun barrel" quadruple leg base in the centre. The legs all terminate in decorative "Lion's Paw" brass toes with recessed castors castors.
The set of matching chairs comprises two armchairs and sixteen side chairs. They they all have drop in seats which have been reupholstered in an elegant royal burgundy and gold fabric. Unusually the drop in seat cushions can be removed when required, to reveal cane seats, which allow for cooler and more comfortable dining in the warmer summer months.
The chairs are made from solid mahogany and feature satinwood inlaid and crossbanded decoration to compliment the table. They have been lovingly French polished and are ready to grace your dining or conference room.
