This is a wonderful and rare English George III antique sterling silver coffee pot on stand by the world famous silversmith Paul Storr.
It has hallmarks for London 1809 and the makers mark of the celebrated silversmith Paul Storr. It is decorated with subtle Egyptian influences interacting with traditional English basket weave decoration around the body with gadrooned borders and an exceptional novelty reptilian handle with striking details, proving the silversmith's exceptional mastery in the creation of unique and luxurious silverware - Paul Storr never tired of adding detail to create a true piece of artwork.
All parts bear hallmarks for Paul Storr, 1809, with marks on underside of the coffee pot, inside the lid, on the finial, on the underside of the base and on the burner.
There is no mistaking its unique quality and design, which is sure to make it a treasured piece by any discerning collector.
