This is a beautiful antique pair of oil on canvas paintings, one showing the view of the Grand Canal in Venice and the other the view of The Dogana, by the renowned British artist Alfred Pollentine (1836-1890). Each is signed to canvas lower right, "A Pollentine" and further signed and inscribed "The Dogana" & "The Grand Canal" verso.
