This is a beautiful Regency style dining table complete with a set of eighteen Federal Revival dining chairs, dating from the last quarter of the 20th century.
The table is made of flame mahogany with superb satinwood crossbanded decoration and it can seat eighteen people in comfort, and twenty if required.
There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome table which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with guests at meal times.
The table has two leaves which can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion and it stands on a pair of "gun barrel" triple leg bases, one at each end, and a "gun barrel" quadruple leg base, in the centre. The legs all terminate in decorative "Lion's Paw" brass toes with recessed castors castors.
The vintage set of twenty Federal Revival shield back dining chairs have been masterfully crafted in beautiful solid mahogany with hand carved decoration throughout, and the finish and attention to detail on display are truly breathtaking.
The set comprises eighteen side chairs and two armchairs, all of which feature an attractive shield back design and "over stuffed" seats that have been reupholstered in a beautiful teal damask.
